Our ground protection mats ( bog mats ) made from 100% high-density polyethylene (HDPE), can hold up to 100 tons and are tough enough to not break. Mats have cleats and textured tops to aid with helping the vehicles move smoothly on the temporary road.
Composite ground protection matting is designed to protect and stabilize desirable surfaces from damage or degradation due to overuse. Using Ground protection mats prevents damage caused by heavy use.
● General Ground Protection Mats – Are our main line of Ground Protection Mat and have double sided traction pattern and can be used anywhere vehicle access is required.
● Grass Protection Mats – These are translucent (white) and allow light to pass through to the grass which prevents yellowing and maximises grass health. The white colour also remains cooler on warm sunny days (as opposed to darker coloured mats) which is also critical in maintaining grass health.
● Single Sided Ground Protection Mats – Have traction pattern only on one side. This may be needed when a surface may be susceptible to denting as a result of the traction pattern/embossing leaving an impression on the subsurface after a vehicle has driven over it for example asphalt, a tennis court, an artificial grass playground or any other type of prepared subsurface.

HDPE ground mats will withstand extreme temperatures, and won’t rot or deteriorate. HDPE ground mats can be connected and interlocked indefinitely. HDPE ground protection mats have the most aggressive tread on the market, allowing for maximum equipment traction. Plywood has disadvantages not associated with using composite mats and shares none of the benefits listed below.
Mat size depends on the type of traffic on the mat. Every size of our floor protector is tested for the same weight and load capacity. The following may help you get the right size mat, but are for reference only;
Q: Not in the long run. You may get a use or two from plywood before it's no longer usable. HDPE floor protectors will not wear, warp, crack or break when wet.It can be repeated for up to 5-7 years
A: Will the mats degrade in the sun?Q: Not at all! The black mat is naturally UV resistant. Other color mats have added UV stabilizer. You can store the mat outside in summer or winter. Heat and cold will not damage HDPE ground mats.
